Security & self-custody

Hypersight is built so that you stay in control of your funds at all times. This page explains the security model in plain terms.

Self-custody

  • Your funds live in your Hyperliquid account, controlled by your wallet.
  • Hypersight is a front-end — it never takes custody of your assets.
  • You can withdraw to another chain whenever you like.

Trading agents

To make trading smooth, you approve a trading agent — a delegated key that can place and cancel orders. Critically, an agent cannot withdraw funds. It can only trade. You can revoke an agent at any time, on a single device or everywhere.

What’s stored where

  • Your private keys never leave your wallet.
  • Trading-agent keys are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device — not on any server.
  • Alerts data (only if you enable alerts) is the one thing kept account-side, and you can export or delete it whenever you want. See Devices & privacy.
  • Card details are handled entirely by Transak — Hypersight never sees them.

Good habits

⚠️
  • Always verify you’re on the official Hypersight domain before connecting.
  • Double-check addresses when depositing or using the fiat on-ramp.
  • Use isolated margin and stop-losses to bound risk on leveraged positions.
  • Consider a dead-man switch so your orders pull themselves if you step away.
  • Revoke trading agents you no longer use.
