Dead-man switch
The dead-man switch is a safety net: if you don’t return to Hypersight within a window you choose, it automatically cancels your open orders on your behalf.
Set it up in Settings → Dead-man switch.
Why use it
If you step away — close your laptop, lose connectivity, get distracted — resting orders could fill in conditions you’d no longer want. The dead-man switch makes sure that if you go quiet, your orders are pulled rather than left exposed.
How it works
- Pick a timeout: 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes.
- A countdown runs while you’re away. If it reaches zero, Hypersight uses your trading agent to cancel your open orders.
- The timer re-arms automatically when you come back to the app.
Requirements
The dead-man switch needs an active HyperCore trading agent, since it cancels orders by signing with the agent (not your wallet directly).
⚠️
The dead-man switch cancels resting orders. It does not close existing open positions — to protect a position automatically, also set a stop-loss.
